We are seeking an experienced, strategic Digital Content Writer / SEO Specialist to create high-quality, human-written digital content that improves search visibility, engagement, and performance across healthcare-focused digital properties.

The ideal candidate combines strong editorial judgment with hands-on SEO and AI-driven search optimization expertise. This person can translate complex topics into clear, accessible content while adapting to multiple brand voices and collaborating with a cross-functional digital team.

Key Responsibilities

• Create clear, accurate, audience-focused content for websites and other digital channels, including blogs, specialty pages, provider bios, web and landing pages, email copy, social content, newsletters, and FAQs.
• Refresh and rewrite existing digital content to improve clarity, usability, discoverability, and performance.
• Develop content optimized for SEO and answer-engine optimization, including AI Overviews, featured snippets, FAQs, and conversational search.
• Use keyword research, user intent, competitive insights, and local-market trends to identify opportunities and shape content recommendations.
• Write to established reading-level requirements and accessibility standards while maintaining accuracy and an appropriate healthcare tone.
• Optimize on-page elements including headlines, metadata, title tags, meta descriptions, alt text, internal links, and page structure.
• Measure, validate, and improve content performance, rankings, and discoverability using SEO and analytics tools.
• Publish and maintain content in WordPress.
• Maintain consistency with brand standards, editorial guidelines, accessibility expectations, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with digital, marketing, design, SEO, and subject-matter stakeholders throughout planning, review, and publishing.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional digital content writing, copywriting, SEO content, or related experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality website, blog, landing-page, and/or healthcare content.
• Healthcare, health services, or other regulated-industry writing experience.
• Experience with SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, search intent, on-page optimization, metadata, internal linking, and content performance analysis.
• Working knowledge of answer-engine optimization and content structures that support AI-driven and conversational search.
• Experience using SEMrush or a comparable SEO research platform.
• Hands-on WordPress authoring and publishing experience.
• Ability to write clear, accessible content that meets defined reading-level standards.
• Strong editing, proofreading, research, organization, and project-management skills.
• Ability to adapt to multiple brand voices and work effectively with varied stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with localized or geography-based content strategies.
• Experience using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Moz, or comparable analytics and SEO platforms.
• Experience developing provider bios, specialty pages, FAQ content, and patient-facing educational materials.
• Experience supporting content across multiple websites or domains while minimizing keyword cannibalization.
