Job Description:
- Contract Length: 15 weeks
- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Experience Required: Minimum 3 years in ICU/CCU
- Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend required
- Floating: Possible float to DOU, Tele, or Med Tele
- Required Certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- CPI
- MAB or VIP
- NIHSS
- Skills Required:
- FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Multi-system organ failure management
- Obtain 12 lead EKG
- IV insulin protocols
- Chronic/acute renal failure
- Accessing ports
- Arterial line management
- Blood product administration
- Central line care/management
- PICC line management
- Starting IVs
- Management of continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade
- Management of continuous IV sedation
- Emergency medications
- Procedural sedation administration
- Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- CVA/acute stroke management
- Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun
- BiPAP and CPAP assistance
- High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management
- Interpretation of ABGs
- Suctioning (ETT, NT)
- Ventilator management
- Infection prevention and isolation precautions
- Phlebotomy
- Management of surgical wounds with drains/Wound Vac
- Assist with chest tube insertion/removal
- Care of ventilated patients
- Additional Details:
- Must be willing to work holidays
- RTO must be on the submittal; no changes allowed once submitted
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required with exemptions allowed
